Vogue Zion
High fashion, loud heritage, cold edges.
Scope
Exhibition design, co curation, event production, visual identity, digital promotion.
Year: 2025
Client: Barbur Gallery, Jerusalem
Typography: Matan Iontef (Cupidon)
Brief
A radical exhibition at Barbur Gallery. Vogue's gloss against the grit of the street.
One identity for a season: the exhibition, four activations, the assets promoting both.
Build the identity. Curate the programme. Hold a nonprofit's budget.
Challenge
Heritage and street. Sacred and profane. Couture and protest, in one room.
Bold. Legible. One identity across four different events.
The budget had to hold too.
Process
Custom typography from Matan Iontef. Editorial bones, street posture.
The system stages the contradiction. Wall works, signage and print carry the same tension.
Four events built on an alternative Jerusalem brief. Budget and logistics run across three months.
Result
against the gallery's previous exhibitions.
100 guests at the opening. 11 inside a guided tour turned performance piece. 110 at a music festival, 4 bands. 50 at the closing talk.
The Programme
Vogue Zion ran three months at Barbur Gallery. Design and co curation sat with the same identity: the exhibition, four activations built on an alternative Jerusalem brief, and the digital assets promoting both.
100 guests at the opening, invitations sent personally to artists, curators and supporters. 11 people inside a guided tour that turned into an unscripted performance piece. A music festival at a traditional Ashkenazi Shabbat table: 4 bands, 110 guests. 50 at the closing talk.
Guest performers were selected for each event.
Average post engagement up 283%. Weekly reach up 483% to 900%, against the gallery's previous exhibitions.
Budget and logistics ran across three months, closing under budget. A revised pricing strategy turned a profit for the season.
