Background:
Vogue Zion was a radical exhibition staged at Barbur Gallery in central Jerusalem. Its concept was to fuse the glossy aesthetics of Vogue with the grit of the street, setting a distinctly political tone. By borrowing from both global fashion culture and local urban identity, the exhibition challenged traditional narratives of art, style, and heritage.
Challenge
The project required developing a coherent visual identity and exhibition design that could embody contradiction: heritage and street culture, sacred and profane, high fashion and local protest. The identity had to be bold, ironic, and memorable – while maintaining strong visual clarity.
What We Did
Developed logo systemResearched and integrated typographic references
Managed and supervised production
Developed the exhibition’s spatial and graphic design
Outcome
The final identity captured the exhibition’s radical spirit, Communacting with both local audiences and cultural commentators. The logo and visual system provided a provocative yet coherent narrative thread, anchoring the exhibition as both a design object and a political statement.
Vogue Zion succeeded in bridging fashion, art, and urban culture – creating an exhibition experience that was at once satirical, emotional, and unforgettable.
